Matthew Perry listed the ex-girlfriend 'of his dream' in his will before he died

Almost five months after the tragic death of Matthew Perry, details of his will have been revealed, and a big chunk of his fortune will be left in a trust named after a Woody Allen character.

The Hollywood star, known best for his role as Chandler in the iconic sitcom Friends, passed away in his home in Los Angeles after drowning in his jacuzzi. Matthew Perry‘s will was created in 2009 and said he wanted to ‘leave the majority of his belongings to a trust’.

In documents obtained by USWeekly, it’s reported the 54-year-old, who never had any children, named Lisa Ferguson and Robin Ruzan as the coexecutors of the will, and most of his estate would be placed in his Alvy Singer Living Trust.

The star had more than $1 million in personal property when he died, in addition to what executors previously put in the trust, named after Woody Allen’s character in 1977’s Annie Hall.

“All my personal and household effects, including, but not limited to, jewelry, furniture and furnishings, works of art, and automobiles, together with any insurance on such property, shall pass as part of my residuary estate,” the documents obtained by the publication read.

Matthew listed his father, John Perry, his mother, Suzanne Morrison, and his half-sibling, Caitlin Morrison as beneficiaries of his will.

His ex-girlfriend Rachel Dunn, who he dated from 2003-2005 was also listed. As the will was written in 2009, the star stated that any children he had would not be entitled to access his estate.

In his memoir he referred to Dunn as the ‘ex-girlfriend of his dream’.

Friends fans ‘in tears’ after Oscars tribute

After the star was seemingly ‘snubbed’ from the BAFTAs tribute last month, fans of the Oscars were in tears after an emotional tribute for the actor.

Also honoring late stars including Dumbledore actor Michael Gambon and Curb Your Enthusiasm’s Richard Lewis, Andrea Bocelli and his son Matteo, took to the stage to sing his classic Time to Say Goodbye together.

Fans on X, formerly known as Twitter carried on the emotional tributes, as one penned: “Matthew Perry you’ll never be forgotten [red heart emoji].”

“The Oscars paying homage to Matthew Perry. I’m SOBBING,” wrote another.

A third said: “Seeing Matthew Perry hurts.”
