Motocross Championships tragedy as photographer is killed after being hit by bike
Tragedy struck at the British Motocross Championships this weekend as a photographer died after being hit by an unmanned bike.
The victim, a man in his 50s, was killed when a rider came off his bike during a jump. According to the BBC, it crashed through a barrier made of hay bales.
A trackside marshal, a man in his 60s, also suffered a serious injury and was taken to hospital. Both were situated in a separate section away from spectators, of which there were 10,000.

The incident occurred at Foxhill near Swindon just before 3pm on Sunday (May 14) afternoon, with the event subsequently abandoned.
The series promoter, RHL Activities, issued a statement on their website. It read: "RHL Activities are saddened to announce that this weekend's meeting at Foxhill in Wiltshire has been cancelled.
"At this moment in time we ask that everyone bears with us and any further updates will be made if required."

The event, which was organised by Langrish MCC, was the third round of the Revo ACU British Motocross Championship. Foxhill is considered to be one of the best motocross tracks in the UK.
A spokesperson who has worked in motocross for 25 years told the BBC they could "not remember a fatality that wasn't a rider", with it being "very rare" for a non-rider to be killed.
The Swindon Advertiser report Wiltshire Police attended the incident, with the victim's next of kin having been informed.
