'Scary' Gimp suit creep allowed in to watch Shakespeare play surrounded by families
Theatre bosses thought it Much Ado About Nothing when a gimp dressed head-to-toe in latex turned up in the audience at Shakespeare’s Globe.
Fellow play-lovers complained the man – wearing tight-fitting fetish garb complete with facemask and leather harness – was a "very scary sight" at the matinee of the Bard’s The Comedy Of Errors.
But theatre bosses were only worried he might have "overheated".

They said as his bodysuit "did not contain offensive slogans" he should be allowed to watch the performance.
The move stunned fellow audience members who spotted the freaky fan in the London theatre’s yard – the standing section in front of the stage looked down on from the balconies.

Afterwards, one theatregoer wrote to say she was "shocked to see a man in a full latex gimp suit" turn up for the production.
She said she was "even more shocked that he was allowed to stay in the theatre".
“Why was he allowed to stay in a venue that caters for the general public including children?’’ she said.
“Even if a child doesn’t know what a latex suit is or the sexual connotations it’s still a very scary sight and puts parents in a very uncomfortable position when it comes to explaining to their children what is going on.
